Chennai's Kathipara Junction, popularly known as 'Guindy Flyover', is the largest clover leaf shaped flyover in Asia.
It connects NH 45, Inner Ring Road, Anna Salai and Mount-Poonamallee Road.
Incidentally, it is also the starting point of NH 45 – the 'Grand Southern Trunk Road' connecting Chennai and Trichy.
The total length of the main arm of the grade separator (from HIET to CIPET junction) is 1.41 km and there are four loops each of 180m length radiating from the main flyover in a clover leaf structure. Two subways have been provided for safe movement of pedestrians from one side to other.
