Uniform acceleration: A particle is said to have uniform acceleration if magnitude and direction of the acceleration remain constant during particle motion.
Non- uniform acceleration: A particle is said to have non-uniform acceleration, if magnitude or direction or both, change during motion.
Average acceleration: It is the average change of velocity per unit time.
where v2 and v1 are the instantaneous velocities or simply velocities at time t2 and t1.
Instantaneous acceleration: It is defined as,
Position-time graph for motion
(a) positive acceleration
(b) negative acceleration
(c) zero acceleration
