  1. The Western Ghats or Sahyadri are a mountain range that runs almost parallel to the western coast of the Indian peninsula, located entirely in India. At lower elevations are the South Western Ghats in Kerala that is among the last tracts of virgin tropical evergreen forest in India.
  2. The Himalayan Moist Forest ranges from the extreme north to east hilly region of India, Himachal abounds in moist forests.
