What is New in NEET (UG) 2019?

Candidates may attempt NEET exam only 3 times until cross the maximum age limit as 25 years for general and 30 years for reserved categories

As per the last order by Hon. Supreme Court, no other exam except NEET will be held for offering admission into MBBS/BDS courses in India from the year 2019 (except AIIMS & JIPMER). All seats (MBBS/BDS) of any medical/dental college will be filled by the score of NEET examination only.

NEET 2019 can be written in 8 regional languages including English, Tamil, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu.

All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. At the time of filling application form of NEET 2019, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data. In case, these particulars do not match, the candidates will not be able to fill the application form for NEET 2019. Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth & gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be.

Application Fee:

The fee payment can be done with various modes. Candidates can pay the NEET 2019 application form fee using debit/credit card through the online payment gateway or through depositing fee in the CBSE account with Syndicate, SBI, ICICI bank or HDFC bank through e-challan. The application fee can be paid via paytm or other electronic mediums. The NEET application fee is mentioned below:

Candidates can follow these steps to fill and submit the NEET 2019 application form:

Visit the official site of NEET.
Click on “Apply Online” link.
Fill all the details in the application form such as personal, academic and exam centre details.
Pay the application fee through debit/credit card/e-challan or other prescribed modes.
Take the printout of the confirmation page and keep safe for further use

How to Fill the NEET 2019 Application Form


Students should be ready with the following details and documents before filling the NEET 2019 Application Form:

Documents/Details Required:

Personal, academic and address details
Recent photograph scanned (size between 10KB to 100KB)
Signature scanned (size between 3kb to 20kb)
Right hand index finger scanned (size between 3kb to 20kb)
Debit/credit card or payment details
Valid Email ID and password
The entire application form can be submitted through these simple steps:

Step-1: Fill the Application Form and note down the Registration Number

Online Registration: Visit the official link (Link will be given above). Click on “Apply Online”. Read all the instructions carefully and click on “Proceed to apply online”.

Fill Registration Details: Enter details like Candidates Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, DOB, Aadhaar Number, Mobile No., Email Address and Security Pin. After entering all details click on “Submit” button.

Fill Personal Details (Application Form): Choose State, Gender, Category, PwD status, Single child status, Place of residence and Aadhar card number (optional).

Contact Details: House No., Locality, City, State, District, Pincode, Email address, Mobile No. and Land Line No.

Domicile Details: State domicile, House No., Locality, City, State and District.

Guardians Details: Choose the qualification, occupation and annual income details of Guardians.

Qualification Details: Enter name, address, school board, type of institution, year of passing and % obtained of the 10th class.

Qualifying Examination Details: Choose the qualifying exam code, school board, year of passed/appearing, type of institution, name and address of the school, study, state of 12th class appearing/passed, district of 12th class appearing/passed, % obtained and Roll number (if allotted).

Choose language of the exam and three choices for the examination centre. Choose security question and password, enter security pin and click on “Next” button. A review page will be open, check all the entered details and click on the “Final Submit” button. After submitting details the registration number will be displayed, note down the registration number for further use.

Step-2: Upload Images

Click on the “Upload Scanned Images”. Click on the “Choose File” option to select the images of signature, photograph and right hand index finger impression. Click on “Next” button. The preview of images will appear and click on the “Upload” button to upload images.

Step-3: Application Fee Payment

Click on the “Make Payment” option and choose the method of fee payment i.e. e-challan or debit/credit card/ net banking/ CSC e-wallet. Choose the respective bank and click on “Go for payment”. Enter the card details and pay the application fee. In case of e-challan, take the printout of the e-challan, and make the cash payment to the nearest bank branch.

Step-4: Confirmation Page

After finishing the fee payment process, candidates will be able to take the printout of the application form. Applicants are required to take at least four printouts of the confirmation page and fee payment proof (through e-challan).

NEET 2019 Application Form Correction

As compared to previous years, it is to be expected that the authority shall provide a chance to make Correction in NEET 2019 Application form. Although students are still advised to fill the NEET application form carefully.

NEET 2019 Admit Card

The NEET Admit Card 2019 will be provided via online mode through the official website of NEET. The admit card will be available to download from the first week of April 2019. Candidates should note down that the admit card will not be sent by post. The admit card will contain exam and candidates related details like exam date, exam centre, name and roll number of the candidate.

NEET 2019 Result

The CBSE board shall publish the result in the first week of June 2018. Students can check the NEET Result 2019 through the official website of the authority. Students are suggested to take the printout of the result and keep it safe till the admission procedure. A merit list will be prepared for admission on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the entrance examination.

NEET 2019 Counselling

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will organize the counselling for 15% All India Quota through online mode. Admissions to students will be given as per the ranks scored by them in the entrance examination. NEET Counselling 2019 for state quota, central institutions and universities or many others will be organized by their respective counselling authorities. In counselling process, students will be required to choose the colleges as per their choices. Seats will be allotted to students as per choices filled by them and availability of seats.
