Differentiate between Apes and Man with respect to the following characteristics :

MAN

Postures

Their posture is slightly bent during locomotion and they take help from their forelimbs, their heads are balanced on heavy shoulders and found buried.

Body posture is errect, man’s forelimbs are free, used for other purposes than locomotion, man’s head is erect and balanced on the neck.

 Cranium

Cranium (brain box) is small, cranial capacity of Gibbon 100 c.c.

Cranium is large with the cranial capacity of about 1450 c.c.

Brow Ridges

Their brow ridges are heavy and protruded.

The brow ridges are thin and not much protruded.

Locomotion

During locomotion, their soles do not touch the ground, only the outer sides of their hindlimbs and forelimbs touch the ground.

During locomotion, the soles touch the ground except the bridge of the feet, during walking
