Reparative

Restorative regeneration

In reparative regeneration, the organism has the power only to repair certain damaged cells of the body. Liver has the extensive power of reparative regeneration.

In restorative regeneration, the organism can redevelop the severed body parts or the whole body can be formed from a body segment. Regenerating of organs and body part such as limbs, tail, external gills.

Fertilization

Fertilization of the ovum occurs in the ampulla of the fallopian tube. On reaching the fallopian tube the spermatozoa undergo some changes, which are collectively known as sperm capacitation.

The fusion of the male and the female gametes to form zygote is called fertilization.
