When carbon dioxide is passed through clear lime water solution, it turns milky. The milky appearance of lime water is due to
presence of soluble calcium carbonate
curdling of milk due to lime in lime water
presence of impurities in lime water
presence of insoluble calcium carbonate

Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) is a synthetic, semicrystalline organic polymer resin, with the linear formula (C3H3N)n. All commercial methods of production of PAN are based on free radical polymerization of Acrylonitrile (AN). Natural rubber is from the monomer isoprene (2-methyl-1,3-butadiene). Nylon 6 or polycaprolactum is a polymer developed by Paul Schlack at IG Farben to reproduce the properties of nylon 6,6 without violating the patent on its production. Nylon 6 is synthesized by ring-opening polymerization of caprolactam. PVC is a vinyl polymer. It's similar to polyethylene.
