(b) Soil water is of following four types:

(i) Chemically combined water - It is found in chemical combination with soil particles and is not available to the plants.

(iii) Capillary water - Some water is held in the form of a water film in between the soil particles. It is the only soil water that is available to the plants and is absorbed by the root hairs.

(iv) Gravitational or free water - After the rains, some water goes into the lower strata of the earth due to the gravitational force of the earth and gets collected in the form of underground water. This water is also not available water to the plants.

(i) Folic Acid

Importance: It is important for the formation of blood and proper growth of the body.

Deficiency Symptoms: Deficiency of folic acid leads to a condition called anaemia.

(ii) Phosphorus: Importance: It is necessary for the formation of teeth, bones, ATP and nucleic acids.

Deficiency Symptoms: Its deficiency leads to the weakening of bones and teeth.
