Explain about the knock-out tournament with an example?

In this type of tournament, a team‟s once defected automatically gets eliminated. Only the winning teams continuing in the tournament. A team winning all the matches in the tournaments is finally declared as the winning team.

Teams:

In the 1st round, team A and B, as well as C and D, play their matches. If team B and team D become the winner of the 1st round, these team, i.e., B and D get the opportunity to play in the 2nd round and team A and team C will be eliminated from the tournament. Finally, team D becomes the winner of the tournament.
