The basic assumption that underlies the behavioral analysis is that the person's behavior in a situation can provide a lot of meaningful information about his/her personality. The techniques used in the behavioral analysis are as follows:

a) Interview: This involves talking to the person being assessed and asking specific questions to those people. The responses made by the interviewee reveals a lot about the personality of the individual.

b) Observation: This method involves observing the individual in a setting, the behavior of the person in that setting reveals a lot about the individuals' personality.
