How does the group structure develop? Identify any three elements of group structure.

The group structure develops as the members start to interact with each other. The three elements of the group structure are as follows:

a)Roles: Roles are socially defined expectations that individuals in a given situation are expected to fulfill. Roles refer to the typical behavior that depicts a person in a given social context.
b)Norms: Norms are expected standards of behavior and beliefs established, agreed upon, and enforced by group members. They may be considered as a group's 'unspoken rules'.
c)Cohesiveness: Cohesiveness refers to togetherness, binding, or mutual attraction among group members. As the group becomes more cohesive, group members start to think, feel and act as a social unit, and less like isolated individuals.
