Short Answer Type i. Greenhouse effect is the warming of the lower atmosphere of the earth that occurs when radiation from the sun is absorbed by the earth and then given off again and absorbed by greenhouse gases.
Greenhouse gases like CO2, CH4, CFC, N2O lead to global warming and in enhanced greenhouse effect which may result in global warming and depletion ozone layer in the stratosphere.
