What is Prosthesis ?
Prosthesis is implanting of an artificial substitute for a body part within the body. Internal replacement include intraocular lens fabricated to resemble the remaining eye in colour and configuration, nose implant for cosmetic reshaping in-the-ear electronic hearing aids, etc. External prosthesis is exemplified by artificial arm or leg for a person who has undergone amputation.
