Resonance in series LCR circuit: Let us consider the case when XL = Xc.

The power factor cos Φ = 1.

An LCR series circuit is said to be in resonance when the inductive reactance is equal to the capacitive reactance, or the power factor of the circuit is unity.

The impedance of the circuit is,
