What conclusion can be drawn from G.P. Thomson’s experiment ?
In G.P. Thomson’s experiment, if a magnet is brought near to the rays (electrons) emitted from the cathode, the rays (electrons get deflected and therefore, pattern on the screen also shifted. It shows that the diffraction pattern is due to the electrons and not due to the X-rays produced.
